PORTABLE UNIT FOR AUTOMATIC TESTING OF TELECOM BATTERIES CONDITION
TBA150-IŁ converter is a portable and programmable unit. The user, after connecting the unit to a power source, may with the help of built in display with a keyboard update the time indications, enter the parameters of controlled battery, programmed its work, start the recently entered programme, view or save in the connected (e.g. via Interent network) PC the results of ongoing or just colmpleted cycle of work. It allows for autocalibration of the meters, assign individual number and change the configuration setting.
During the cycle of charging the batteries (equalizing or return), the converter draws power from the rectifiers of the power unit of the voltage 27V or 41V or 54V or 56V (respectively for the batteries of 12 or 18 or 24 or 25 or 2V cells). The converter starts charging when the voltage of power unit is higher than 25,5V/40V/52V/54V and stops temporarily its work at the voltage of this source below 25V/39V/51V/53V (i.e., when the rectifiers of the power unit are not working). After the battery being charged has reached the voltage level of power unit, the converter limits further charging to the level 90% of the programmed value - this should protect the load of the power unit by a current higher than the programmed charging current (in the phase of charging the battery with the higher than the voltage of power unit the current drawn form the power unit is higher from the charging power of the battery).
