VI International Conference
on Decision Support for Telecommunications
and Information Society
|
 |
|
July 18-20, 2007, Warsaw, Poland |
GENERAL INFORMATION
Conference objectives
The conference is devoted to issues of decision support in applications
to telecommunications and computer networks, generally for information society.
This will be the sixth conference on this subject of growing importance,
with a tradition starting at the year 2000.
The dynamics of telecommunication sector development and strong competition
in this sector in most countries induce telecommunication operators to use
new computerised tools. Such tools might help in planning network development,
in assessing financial and economic standing, in network design and management,
in corporate management including strategic decisions and negotiations
of interconnection agreements. The intensive development and decreasing costs
of information technology increase the availability of such tools. The aim
of this conference is to bring together international experts and researchers
working in decision support and related fields, in order to present diverse
methods and tools of decision analysis and support as well as knowledge
engineering, which are applied in telecommunications industry and information
society. Contributions are invited in the following areas:
- Distributed and agent based modelling
- Analytical modelling
- Multicriteria decision support systems
- Data mining
- Data warehousing
- Knowledge engineering and management
- Soft computing
- Security in telecommunications
- Decision support for information society
- Implementation of all above subjects in planning and
management of telecommunications networks
Conference time and site
The conference is planned for July 18-20 as a satellite to the
23rd IFIP TC7 Conference on System Modelling and Optimization
in Cracow, Poland, July 23-27.
