IFIP Working Group 7.6 Workshop on Modelling and decision support for network-based services |
 |
| September 1-3, 2008, Warsaw, Poland |
Co-located with: 7th International Conference on Decision Support for Telecommunications and Information Society.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Aims and Scopes The aim of the Working Group 7.6 is to apply analytical and knowledge-driven modelling, optimization and multi-criteria analysis for solving real word problems using Web and network-based computing technologies.
Any methodological approach or combination of solution techniques, which solves real world problems successfully. The Working Group is focused on:
- Optimization, multi-criteria decision analysis and simulation
- Efficient use of databases, data mining and knowledge engineering in analytical modelling
- Implementation of knowledge-driven, grid-based, and service-oriented modelling systems
Application Domains:
- Special emphasis on the service industry (e.g., communications, logistics, healthcare)
- Environmental (e.g., climate, sustainable environments)
- Homeland security and emergency response
- Social sciences (e.g., risk management, social networks)
Topics for Workshop
- Service-based support of modelling
- Network-based decision support
- Knowledge science and engineering
- Application areas: supply chain management, traffic and transportation, telecommunications, health care, sustainable environments, emergency response, homeland security
