On the 8th and 9th September 2016 the “Workshop on Frequency Policy and Spectrum Engineering” was organized in Wrocław, Poland by four Visegrad countries institutions: Czech Metrology Institute, Scientific Association for Infocommunications Hungary, National Institute of Telecommunications Poland and The Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications Slovakia with support also from other Visegrad countries organizations and institutions. The Workshop was organized within EMC Europe 2016 Conference and was attended by around 100 participants. During the Workshop Plenary Session at the EMC Europe 2016 was organized with presentation titled “Trends in Spectrum Sharing for Future Wireless Networks” given by professor Luiz DaSilva from the Trinty College Dublin, Ireland. In the 6 regular sessions 24 presenters give 23 presentations on different aspects of frequency policy and spectrum engineering: broadcasting networks, mobile systems, public protection and relief systems (PPDR), spectrum reframing, general procedure of the spectrum management and future technologies. Participants of the Workshop were mostly from the Visegrad countries however in the event participate also people from other European and also some non-European countries as well as international institutions (International Telecommunication Union ITU, European Broadcasting Union EBU, International DMB Advancement Group IDAG, European Communication Office ECO, WorldDAB).
