The IT Centre deals with maintenance and development of the Institute's computer network, i.e. administration of network devices and central servers, maintenance of computer hardware, handling connections with wide area network, maintenance of network services, provision of consulting and training services for the network users.

Moreover, the Centre is doing research on information protection and security of IT systems and on design and management of computer networks.

Certain design work is also conducted by the Centre and experts' opinions are prepared for third parties.
